Smart Housing Demonstration Project
Landcom, Cosmopolitan and Blacktown City Council have delivered an innovative residential development at Forest Glade in Parklea, that provides a model for market based affordable housing.
Twenty per cent of the house and land packages were sold to moderate income households for between $156,000 and $230,000 in 2002.
The project achieved the following objectives:
- Demonstrated market-based affordable housing
- Model can be used by project home developers
- Achievement of affordability and sustainability goals
- All dwellings produced below benchmark cost
